Add on Pack (can be used on its own) for Compound Words: Print out five pages of pink and green circles. Laminate and cut. Make each into a pile in front of the student. Show the student the picture of the compound word (answer on the back is for the instructor). Child segments into parts using the circles as a physical representation of their answer. For example, “cupcake” would be: “cup” (slam down pink circle), “cake” (slam down green circle). This is double sided.
