Intermediate Mini Reading Bundle
Phonetic Command Cards: Set III: Print/laminate and cut. Cut close around "objects" to best use. Lay out all objects on top of the mat and name each object to child. Stack sentences in a pile and let child decode each sentence. They should make the objects do what the sentence is describing - line them up together and work your way through the sentences. All objects should be used in the end. Comes with blanks for cursive add-in.
Interactive Reader One: This includes many different varieties of the same activity: Full color with words that you can print, laminate and turn into a book. Full color without words and word “cards”. Laminate and using velcro you can make this a reusable activity. The child lays out the pages in order, reads each word card and matches it to the correct picture. Black Line with words - use this as a coloring, cutting and stapling activity. Black Line without words - use this as a DIY activity where the child completes all the steps and brings the end result home.
Interactive Reader Two: Same as above
Journal Template: Features ten writing prompts and one blank journal page. Print double sided and using a booklet stapler, make students their own journals!
Illustrate a Book Read Along: This includes one 5 page book about visiting a food shop. At the intermediate level, a child can decode the words and draw pictures according to what they read. It is a great reading comprehension tool! It also includes blank lined mini paper if the child wants to create and illustrate their own book. I would leave loose sheets available and the child can compile them together, staple and create a book.
Pink Lined Handwriting Cards: This is so children can reference where each letter goes on their pink lined paper. (I get my paper from Viking Paper Company but you can also download the paper pack from my shop —- coming soon—-- if you need smaller quantities.). I teach handwriting very simply: there are “tall” letters, “low” letters and “pink” letters.
Fill in the Blanks: Includes 10 sentences with 20 blank spots. A “word bank” is included for children to read words and choose for the blanks. Journal paper is also included so child can then choose one (or more) sentences to copy and illustrate.
Read/Draw/Write: Packet includes 40 phonetically controlled sentences and blank template for student (or teacher original) creations. Includes CVC words, beginning trick words (I, a, the, is, to, etc.) and phonograms like ee, oo, sh, and ch.
